Hypnosis or Meditation? Which one to choose
"Hypnosis? Oh how interesting!” That is often the first reaction you get when you mention that you are working with hypnosis. When people hear the word hypnosis, their interest is often aroused.
“How does that work then?” is often the next question.`
There are several types of hypnosis, but the form we work with in practice to help people to change could very well be compared to a guided fantasy such as you see in meditations.
It is a very calm and quiet method of letting someone relax by sending the other person to a nice place.
During that meditative hypnosis you can work on change from within. In that case, use is made of the client's own ability to adjust and resolve internal matters. Change from the inside out, instead of the other way around.
However, there is a difference between meditation and hypnosis. Meditation usually aims at deep relaxation and hypnosis usually aims at deep change. Hypnosis is not a relaxation exercise. In fact, learn hypnosis to know yourself better . However, hypnosis can have deep relaxation as a side effect. Amazing isn't it?
Another difference is that in hypnosis you don't have to send your thoughts away. You don't have to clear your head. So you can just keep the whole fair up there, it doesn't matter for the hypnosis. When I explain that, I see that a lot of clients are already a lot calmer. Because man, everyone is so busy in that upstairs room.
Now I'm curious, what was your take on hypnosis?
And has this post changed your idea of hypnosis?
In fact, has your interest in hypnosis been piqued now?

Tip
Letting go is something that many people struggle with. The brain just keeps repeating it. But know that you can still learn the art of letting go. In short, you can distinguish three categories.
Things you:
1. Have full control over.
2. Have a little control over.
3. You have no control over.
Things you have no control over are pretty useless to keep grinding and brooding over. These are all things that are beyond your reach, over which you have no influence by joining hypnosis training.
For example:
Most events in the news.
Weather.
Past.
The behavior of others.
etc.
All you need to do from now on is ask yourself:
Do I have any influence or control over this?
New? Let it go. let go. Hypnosis is very helpful with this.
Yes? Make a plan on how to resolve the situation.
A little? Only do what is within your power and let the rest go. You did your best.
